Art 3/4
You are a design master. Composition? No Problem! Concept development? Well...that part might be a little shaky. Building any portfolio of skills takes time and experience. This class takes a look at not only the technical skills, but the conceptual development behind your best ideas.
This class will build on the essential design skills we focused on in Art 1& 2. This class is meant to be a more in-depth look at the process and techniques necessary to build a solid portfolio, whether you ultimately decide to pursue art as a hobby, or a career. This course will include an overview of the essential skills needed for creating and critiquing art. We will be exploring a variety of art media, studying the art of the past and present, (aka art history) and learning to use a variety of tools for the purpose of creating works of art.
Elective: (Art 2 or the equivilent required)…........................……………………………..1/2 credit
Open to grades 9-12
